Efficient Vulnerability Scan Comparison on the Platform
The Platform enhances vulnerability management by enabling users to compare two scans side-by-side. This feature is instrumental in identifying changes and trends between different scans, thereby streamlining the analysis process.
Steps to Compare Scans:
Access Scan Comparison:
Select the Compare Results from the Results side bar main menu.
In a vulnerability scanning project view, find the ‘Compare Scans’ button.
Alternatively, select two scans using the multi-line checkboxes and choose ‘Compare Scans’ from the Actions menu.
Review Comparison Results:
The Results Comparison page displays the older scan on the left and the newer scan on the right.
This layout facilitates an at-a-glance understanding of the major differences between the two scans.
Enhanced Scan Analysis:
Side-by-Side Comparison: Directly contrast two scans to efficiently identify any new, resolved, or persistent vulnerabilities.
Status Recognition: The Platform recognizes issues marked as False Positive or Accept Risk from previous scans, offering the option to carry forward these statuses to the latest scan.
Streamlined Validation: This feature expedites the data validation phase, allowing users to progress to remediation tasks more quickly.
