Decommissioning Assets on the Platform

The Platform allows you to efficiently mark assets as Decommissioned. This action is particularly useful for resolving any issues attached to a host that is no longer in use or part of your active digital environment. The Platform ensures you are informed of the affected issues before the final confirmation of decommissioning.

Steps to Decommission an Asset:

By following these steps, you can effectively manage your asset lifecycle on the Platform, ensuring that assets no longer in use are appropriately marked and their related issues are resolved.

Assets that are marked as decommissioned in the platform will not be included within the platform metrics and can still be found and reviewed by using the filters available within the Assets page.

The platform does not take into account the scope of a clients testing programme. Meaning that if these decommissioned assets are still part of the importing datasets, the platform will treat them as new assets. In these cases these assets should be removed from testing scopes or subsequently decommissioned and removed from networks as is normal practice.
