Project Tagging
Tags are labels you create to help organise your data by assigning meaningful references to Projects, Phases and Issues.
They enable you to customise how you organise data, for example you could create tags for business departments or geographic locations. You can then search and filter your Projects and Results by tag.
When you apply one or more tags to a Project, the tag(s) will be automatically applied to its Phases and Issues too.
Tags are completely customisable; create as many as you like and name and assign them as you see fit.
Creating & Assigning Tags to Projects
New tags can be created at the point the tags needs assigning, such as when creating or editing a Project. Alternatively, tags can be created within the Tag Management page, then assigned to the Project afterwards.
Tag assignment can be a one-to-many assignment; so you can assign a single tag to multiple Projects, Phase & Issues if needed.
Option 1: Creating New Tags when assigning:
Go to Projects and open a specific project. Under ‘Project details’, click the ‘Tags’ dropdown menu. Then type in a name for your new tag. The platform will display tags that may already partially match the new tag you are creating and will be shown in the drop-down. Otherwise, when you have finished typing the name of your new tag, press Enter to create and assign the tag.
You can add multiple tags at once by repeating the process above.
Option 2: Create New Tags under Tag Management
Tags created under the Tag Management page are available for use across your platform tenant.
Please refer to the Tag Management article for further guidance on how to add tags.
Press enter to save the tag. You can then assign the tag to any project.
Removing Tags from Projects
Tags can be removed from Projects in a similar manner to when they are created/assigned. Under ‘Project Details’ simply select the 'x' next to the tag you want to remove.
The removal of a Project tag will also remove the tag from the Phases and any associated Issues.
Removing tags from Projects will not remove the tag from your platform tenant. If you want to remove a tag entirely, please use the Tag Management page
