Test Types

Overview

The Test Types feature allows users to create and customize their own test types within their tenant. This capability enables users to add additional test types beyond the default ones provided by the platform, tailoring the platform to their specific needs.

Users can create bespoke test types, such as:

• Build Review

• Cloud Configuration

• External Network Assessment

• Web Application Assessment

Benefits of Custom Test Types

By creating custom test types, users can:

• Tailor test types to specific requirements and workflows.

• Select and use these bespoke test types when creating phases and scans.

• Determine the applicability of new test types to current service types (e.g., Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Scanning, Red Team Assessment, and Ransomware) or to new questionnaires they have created. See Platform Questionnaires for more details.

How to Use

1. Navigate to the Settings Menu:

   • Go to the Settings option in the sidebar menu in the platform.

2. Access Test Types:

   • Select the Test Types option.

3. Create and Align New Test Types:

   • Create new test types by specifying their names and details.

   • Align these new test types with existing service types or newly created questionnaires.

   • Edit existing test types as needed to suit your requirements.
