PDF and Spreadsheet Report Generation

Generating Customized Reports in PDF and Spreadsheet Formats on the Platform

The Platform offers versatile report generation capabilities, allowing you to create detailed reports in both PDF and spreadsheet formats. These reports can be generated for individual Phases or Scans, as well as for comprehensive Projects that include multiple Phases or Scans.

Project Level Reporting:

  1. Access Report Options:

    • In a delivered project, select the export option from the actions button list.

  2. Customize Report Content:

    • A range of customizable reporting options are presented.

    • Adjust these options to tailor the report according to your specific needs.

  3. Customization Features:

    • Filename Setting: Assign a specific name to your report.

    • Content Selection: Choose to include or exclude various sections, such as:

      • Group Vulnerabilities by Asset

      • Executive Summary

      • Caveats

      • Scope

      • Vulnerability Overview

      • Vulnerabilities Breakdown

      • Assessment Context

    • Phase/Scan Ordering: Opt for ordering your phases/scans based on dates or naming conventions.

When creating a Project level report, all Phases/Scans within the Project must be in a Published state. For any Phases/Scans in the Project that are not in a Published state, the Platform will not allow PDF/XLSX reports to be created.

When requesting a PDF report, there will be a delay in the report becoming available whilst the Platform collates and formats the necessary data for the report. A “Request Queued” message will appear indicating report generation will occur as a background task and you may click away from the Export window whilst the report generation takes place.

Once the report is complete, you can check within the Secure File Exchange for any reports that have requested from the Platform.

The Platform stores all requested PDF reports in the Secure File Exchange.

  • Format Selection: Decide whether you need the report in PDF or spreadsheet format.

  • Data Integration: The report will incorporate selected details from your Projects, Phases, or Scans.

  • Bespoke Reporting: The array of options ensures that the report you generate is tailored to your specific requirements and preferences.

These reporting tools on the Platform enable you to efficiently document and analyse your cybersecurity efforts, providing a comprehensive view of your projects and their respective details. Whether for internal review or external communication, these customized reports serve as a valuable resource for understanding and communicating your cybersecurity posture.
