Manual Asset Merging on the Platform

The Platform provides a functionality that allows users to manually merge multiple assets into a single, consolidated asset entity. This feature is particularly useful for cleaning up and organizing asset inventories.

Steps to Manually Merge Assets:

1. Access the Assets Interface:

   • Navigate to the Assets page on the Platform.

2. Select Assets for Merging:

   • Use the multi-select checkboxes to choose the assets you wish to merge.

3. Initiate the Merge Process:

   • Click on the actions button that appears after selection.

   • Choose the ‘Merge Assets’ option from the dropdown menu.

4. Review and Customize the Merged Asset:

   • The Platform will display the selected assets alongside a preview of the final merged asset in the leftmost column.

   • This preview represents the curated asset details that the Platform will use after merging.

   • Users can drag preferred asset details (see above video) to use as a base and edit individual values for the new asset.

5. Finalize or Restart the Process:

   • Complete the merge by clicking the ‘Merge Assets’ button.

   • Alternatively, users can cancel or reset the selection to restart the merging process.
